KC and TTA

I made a quick run to KC (Lee's Summit, i suppose) to see Jessi and her fam, I hope everything went as well as possible today (you're in my thoughts jess). then i continued to Tan-Tar-A for a few days of music dork heaven.  After going to midwest, it's a bit smaller than it seemed before, but it's still invigorating to talk to some of my favorite people about my favorite things.  Winter Guard was pretty ok today, i'm worried about numbers but i think we'll represent well if we have enough to compete!

i do kinda remember having enough time to actually blog effectively, not just lightly journal write.  perhaps, in the summer, i'll have that kind of time again.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you all know that my mom passed away this morning. Thank you for all of the phone calls and texts and emails last night- I apologize for not returning them, but please know how much they all mean to me.

I’m still not sure when I’ll be back to the city- the memorial service will be this weekend, so I would guess middle of next week. I’ll let you know for sure once I know.

Again, I am so blessed to have so many friends and colleagues who have offered their help and support. Thank you so much. The biggest favor you can do me at this point is to just let other people know what’s going on- if you run into someone or think of someone who should know. That would be a big help.
